The Challenge
The project aimed to educate NHS staff on building stronger relationships between public partners and patients. Each video was to contain a case study highlighting existing problems and how they can be improved upon. My task was to create a set of illustrations that reflected each case study and help aid the messaging of the video.
Storyboards
Before designing, 6 storyboards were made to reflect the given scripts. During this stage, both scene direction and transitions had to be thought through.

Character Design
Character illustrations were designed with inclusivity in mind ensuring all age groups, racial groups, and genders were portrayed. This was achieved through skin tones, hairstyles and use of the accessories. Characters lacked facial features to keep simplicity.

The Design Approach
The approach taken was to design minimal illustrations that acted as an aid for the case study. Each illustration represented certain words of the script to emphasise the messaging of the video.

Learnings
Communication
With the scripts being write in NHS jargon, it could be hard to decrypt the meaning of each case study. This created difficulties as it had to be ensured that the correct messaging of each case study was in the best way possible. Overall, I learnt communication is essential throughout the project to guarantee work moves in the right direction.
